Vehicle Assistance Insurance
Underwritten by Europ Assistance Insurance Limited.
Policy Benefits
Vehicle Assistance insurance is only valid if the vehicle is not overloaded. If you take car insurance and you are towing a trailer or caravan, both the car and the trailer/caravan must be covered.
Roadside Assistance You are covered for emergency call out costs, towing expenses and emergency roadside repairs to keep you on the road. The cost of parts is not covered.
Location and Freight of Parts The cost of obtaining replacement parts (though not the cost of the parts themselves) and transporting them to your vehicle is covered.
Car Hire If your car is stolen, involved in an accident or breaks down and cannot be made roadworthy within 24 hours, you are covered for the cost of accommodation while you wait for repairs to be complete. Alternatively, you are covered for the cost of transporting you and your family to your destination to enable you to continue your holiday.
If you are towing we strongly recommend that you take Plus Cover as a higher limit in this section is just one of the extra benefits of Plus cover.
Break-in Indemnity If, whilst you are abroad, your vehicle is broken into, you are covered for the cost of emergency repairs to make your vehicle secure.
Vehicle Repatriation We will transport you and your vehicle home if your vehicle is not repairable. If you have to return home without your car, you are covered for you or a driver of your choice to collect the vehicle once it is repaired.
Bail Bond If you are involved in a motoring accident in Spain you will be required to lodge a bail bond, the service of which may be guaranteed by this policy (up to £1,000).
Legal Expenses If you suffer death or injury in a motoring accident, you are covered for legal expenses to help obtain compensation.
If a customer is unable to provide details of their alternative insurer which provides appropriate levels of cover we will automatically add our insurance premiums to your invoice.

Important Features of your insurance
1. Insurance Document. You should read this carefully. It gives full details of what is and is not covered and the conditions of the cover. This will be sent with your Booking Invoice or is available upon request. 2. Conditions and Exclusions. Specific Conditions and Exclusions apply to individual Sections of your insurance, whilst General Conditions and Exclusions will apply to the whole of your insurance. 3. Health. This insurance contains restrictions regarding pre-existing medical problems concerning the health of the people travelling and of other people upon whose health the trip depends. You are advised to read the document carefully. 4. Property Claims. These claims are based on the value of the goods at the time you lose them and not on a ‘new for old’ or replacement cost basis. 5. Limits. This insurance has limits on the amount the insurer will pay under each Section. Some Sections also include other specific limits, for example, for any one item or for valuables in total. 6. Excesses. Under some Sections of this insurance, claims will be subject to an excess. This means you will be responsible for paying the first part of the claim. There are no excesses under our Holiday Cover Plus policy. 7. Reasonable Care. You need to take all reasonable care to protect yourself and your property, as you would if you were not insured. 8. Dangerous Sports and Pastimes. If you are going to take part in dangerous sports or pastimes where there is a risk of injury, check that this insurance covers you. 9. Customer Service. We always try to provide a high level of service. However, if you think we have not lived up to your expectations, please refer to the policy wording which outlines our Complaints Procedure. 10. Cooling-Off. This insurance contains a ‘cooling-off’ period of 14 days during which you can return it and get a refund if you have a justifiable reason for being dissatisfied with the cover provided. 11. Date Recognition Failure. Certain sections of your policy contains exclusions for losses arising from the failure of equipment to recognise the calendar date. 12. Fraudulent claims. It is a criminal offence to make a fraudulent claim.
