Campsite Description

Nestled in the heart of the Aisne Valley, this pretty riverside site has excellent facilities which are set amongst rustic French farm buildings. The attractively landscaped parkland of tall poplar trees, weeping willows and colourful flowers separate the large, flat grassy pitches and provide some shade and privacy. Maintained to a high standard, the excellent amenities include a new beauty therapy and gym centre (charges apply), a fantastic indoor pool complex and three lakes on site which can be used for fishing, canoeing or relaxing beside on the sandy beach area. Small wooden huts found next to the lakes serve drinks and ice creams for most of the day whilst the take-away and cosy on-site restaurant offer good value for money serving a variety of dishes including local and foreign cuisine in the evenings. Walking, cycling and pony trekking are all available in the nearby Forest of Compiègne and the neighbouring countryside is steeped in history from World War I and waiting to be explored.
