Campsite Description

Camping la Forêt is a small site in the heart of the peaceful Brotonne National Park. It is within easy walking distance of the pretty little town of Jumièges and lies on a big loop of the River Seine. The flat, grassy pitches are separated by shrubs and interspersed with trees and there is a heated swimming and baby pool, tennis court and play area for young children. Bread can be ordered the day before and there is a small onsite take-away. Although there is no bar onsite, there are bars, restaurants and bakeries in Jumièges, and a supermarket in Yainville just 3km away. This is a quiet site, good for short stays for those wishing to visit the stunning remains of the Benedictine abbey at Jumièges and explore the picturesque villages dotted along the river. The nearby city of Rouen has a beautiful cathedral and a vibrant city centre. Location: 12km from exit 25 of the A13 to Caen for cars only with access via a small toll-free ferry or 25km from the A29 via Yvetot and the Pont de Brotonne.
