Campsite Description

This delightful English-owned site beside the gently flowing Layon River is situated about 20 minutes from Saumur. Grassy pitches are generous and well-defined, and benefit from some shade from the pretty shrubs and trees. You'll appreciate the well-appointed sanitary block with spacious showers and individual washbasins, and there is a small bar/restaurant offering refreshments, meals and take-aways overlooking the substantial pool. A range of activities for all the family is organised about 3 times a week in the high season, including hog roasts, barbecues, treasure hunts, music and a mini-club. This is a small, peaceful site with a very welcoming atmosphere and it's well-placed for visiting the zoo and rose gardens at neighbouring Doué-la-Fontaine as well as the main châteaux of the Loire. With around 20 wine producers based in the village of Concourson this is a splendid choice for wine lovers. Location: 26km south-west of Saumur.
