Chateau de Leychoisier | Bonnac la Cote
campsite code: LR032
Campsite Summary
1 pool
Campsite Description
This is the oldest site in the Castels chain, hidden in beautiful rolling wooded countryside, yet ideally positioned for stopovers as it is just off the A20 which runs down the centre of France. The estate offers an impressive château where Victor Hugo once stayed, and the grounds house this small family run campsite. There are good-sized, grassy pitches set amongst the trees, a small swimming pool and a lovely lake suitable for boating with inflatables, swimming and fishing. The converted outbuildings now house an attractive bar and restaurant, with outdoor seating for balmy evenings. The site has a peaceful atmosphere and is well-placed for visiting the famous porcelain capital of Limoges, 12km away, as well as the other attractions of this lesser known but most attractive part of France. Location: 12km north of Limoges, 2km from A20.
