Campsite Description
A restored Charente farmhouse and outbuildings form the centrepiece of this site, which is a member of the Castels chain. It is situated in a delightful position on a loop in the Tardoire River, with spacious, grassy, sometimes sloping pitches that enjoy lovely views over the surrounding countryside. Canoeing, kayaking, fishing and even swimming are possible on the nearby river. This is a beautifully verdant site that offers a quiet atmosphere, with family entertainment organised in the high season, including a children's club and weekly theme evenings. The site is next to an outdoor activity centre, which organises archery, tree-scaling, rambling, biking, horse riding and canoe trips, and the area is also renowned for its bird-watching. Most services are open all season and the site has been awarded La Clef Verte label for its environmentally-friendly management and organisation. Location: 35km east of Angoulême.
