Campsite Description

Camping l'Escale is set amidst magnificent scenery, a short walk from the centre of the lively Alpine village of Le Grand Bornand with its shops, restaurants and public swimming pool. The site has excellent facilities which include the large aqua complex comprising two baby pools, two jacuzzis, water jets and a lagoon. The unique wooden-beamed bar/restaurant on site is housed in a 200 year old building, an old 'alpage' which is decorated in traditional style. It offers excellent Alpine dishes and a delightfully warm ambience. The pitches are either hard-standing for caravans or grassy for camping. This is an excellent choice for an outdoor holiday as the area abounds in mountain walks, with the site also able to arrange trips to Chamonix Mont Blanc and organise mountain skiing. You can also enjoy evening entertainment in the bars and restaurants of Le Grand Bornand or the occasional organised soirée on site. Location: Access is via the A41 through Annecy or via the A40 from Bonneville.
