Campsite Description
Surrounded by vineyards and located just outside the spa town of Bad Dürkheim (famed for hosting the worlds largest wine festival each year), this attractive campsite is an ideal base from which to visit the central Rhine region of Germany. A local bus service runs from outside the campsite into the town centre and to the train station where tickets can be purchased to visit both Heidelberg and Worms. Knauscamping Bad Dürkheim has excellent on site facilities which include open, grassy and level pitches and some are laid out along the edge of a picturesque lake. Open to the public for bathing, the lake is safe for swimming and customers staying on site can hire small boats to take out onto the water. The campsite also has a cosy pub style bar with a beer garden which looks out over the lake. Suitable for a high or low season stay there are many festivals throughout the year in the local towns and villages and in high season the campsite organise segway excursions (15 years+).
