Campsite Description

A delightful little site set in a wooded valley on the edge of the Dordogne and Armagnac regions, south of Bordeaux. Situated in the grounds of an old mill house, on the edge of a trout lake overhung with weeping willows, the site offers a quiet, restful ambience and you can be sure of a warm welcome from the two friendly English couples who own it. They keep the site well maintained and the spacious pitches are flat, hedged, and grassy. There is a heated swimming pool on site, table-tennis, boules piste and a restaurant with a reasonably priced menu. A low-key programme of family entertainment is organised in the high season including barbecue evenings on Saturdays and a weekly quiz run in tandem with a special menu. Other daytime events include visits to wine cellars and a chocolate factory subject to demand. Ideal for for those who prefer the peace and hospitality of a smaller site. Location: 8km from A62 between Damazan and Casteljaloux.
