Campsite Description
A Castels site set in the grounds of a beautiful château between La Rochelle and Royan and just 5km from the beaches at Marennes. The spacious estate combines woods and grassland while the attractive old stone outbuildings and large flowered courtyard serve as a centre for the facilities on site. The wooden-beamed restaurant and bar offer a very pleasant ambience for dining and drinking and offer the opportunity to sample the regions speciality of oysters. One of the most impressive features is the subtropical swimming pool complex which includes a heated pool with lazy river, waterslides, a large children's pool, baby pool, jacuzzi, fountains, mini-waterfalls and large sunbathing area. The pitches are spacious, flat and grassy with a little shade and the sanitary facilities are very attractively designed. There is a wide range of activities organised for all the family in high season, giving the site a lively atmosphere. This includes children's clubs, horse riding and cycle excursions. Evening entertainment during the peak period may last until midnight. Location: 50km from La Rochelle, 40km from Saintes. Access from A10.
