Campsite Description

Right on the border with Spain, this pretty family-run site set amidst mature oak trees has fabulous views of the Pyrénées and is only a short drive from Hendaye, one of the best beaches in the area. It's an ideal choice for young families and those who prefer a more traditional campsite. The pitches are individual and grassy, most with good shade. The site owners have recently added an aquatic games area for the under 5's and are considering building a covered pool for the 2010 season (call for details). If you fancy a night off from cooking, there's a good take-away with varied menu (open high season only). In peak season competitions are organised on the multi-sports pitch and guided walks are arranged in the surrounding forests and mountains. Situated close to the lively resorts of St Jean de Luz and Biarritz the site is well placed for exploring the Pyrénées and the Basque region of Spain. Please note that a large pitch is obligatory for equipment over 6m long (supplement payable). Location: 15km south Biarritz.
