Campsite Description

Set on a plateau, with a magnificent view over the Loire River and valley, this site is maintained to a high standard. Attractive stone farm buildings form a courtyard area housing the reception, shop, and snackbar. Together with the mini farmyard, they lend a special rustic charm to the site's atmosphere. Pitches are generally flat, grassy and generous in size, including some especially large ones of 200m2. The outdoor, paddling and covered pools offer a good spot for a dip at the end of a busy day sight-seeing or wine tasting. A good choice for those who prefer a relaxing atmosphere with plenty to visit nearby, the site offers a small programme of family activities including wine tasting, canoeing and musical evenings. The site is just 6km from the Saumur Champigny vineyard and a pleasant cycle ride from Saumur town where you might be able to catch the famous Cadre Noir horse riding demonstrations. Location: 9km off D751 and 45km east of Angers.
