Attractively situated on the edge of a picturesque fishing lake, La Barbanne is ideal for the keen angler and there's also an area set aside for pedalos and canoes. Cycling and running tracks have recently been installed including one round the lake, which is lovely for an evening stroll. The well-defined pitches are level and grassy, some with shade. A popular spot is the pretty swimming pool area, decorated with beds of exotic plants and flowers. The site also boasts an excellent take-away. It is impossible to leave the site without tasting at least one glass of St. Emilion, one of the oldest and most robust wines of the Bordeaux region. The pretty wine town and many famous vineyards are within striking distance. Motorhome owners are particularly well catered for at La Barbanne, with a free shuttle service to the village, hard-standing pitches and a motorhome service point. The tourist information point on site offers customers preferential prices for visiting local attractions and the site organises numerous excursions in high season.
