Campsite Description

Settled on the western side of Lake Annecy with spectacular vistas of the surrounding Alpine scenery, this family-run campsite has a tranquil atmosphere and is an ideal base from which to explore this breathtaking part of France. The attractive camping area has individual, compact pitches, which are neatly seperated by small hedges. The swimming pool complex has slides and children's pools with a grassy sunbathing area for soaking up the sun. However, it is the azure waters of Lake Annecy, known to be one of the cleanest lakes in Europe, that makes this campsite so special. Just a short walk from the site, it is safe for swimming and boating, while other watersports, including windsurfing and canoeing, are possible a short drive away. Although the site is on the quieter side of the lake, the beautiful 12th Century town of Annecy, named the Venice of the Alps due to its picturesque canals, is only 16km away. The hills and mountains surrounding the campsite are a rambler's paradise and provide endless opportunities for hiking and cycling, making La Ravoire an ideal base to discover the beauty of the Alps. Location: Access is via the A42 and along the N508 to Albertville.

If approaching from the north on the A40 follow signs for Geneva. Turn off at junction 11 on the A40 for Annecy N508 follow this through to Annecy; this will take you along lake Annecy still on the N508 untill you approach the village of Dousard.
